High Altitude Sickness or also called Acute Mountain Sickness
High Altitude Sickness, also referred to as Acute Mountain Sickness, is the illness causing effect of high altitude on the human body. The exact mechanism by which it occurs is unknown but the severity of symptoms can vary from mild to life threatening. Plan your vacation responsibly.
The higher and faster you go up, the greater risk you are for AMS. Consider spending a night or two at moderate elevation if you are prone to High Altitude Sickness.
For best results, use Acli-Mate® Mountain Sport Drink at 3 servings daily started at least three days prior to travel and/or exercise at elevation. If you are unable to use Acli-Mate® Mountain Sport Drink starting before being at elevation start upon arrival or at the first indication of altitude stress. Continue to use daily while at elevation.
