Rippin Chix, Colorado Backcountry and Farm Fresh Chef’s join forces to present a weekend of farm tours, family camping, mountain biking clinics and farm to table meals at Alison’s 75-acre farm in the lush and secluded Holy Terror Creek Valley of Paonia, Colorado. The mission of Living Journeys is to provide financial and emotional support, education and awareness to Gunnison county residents living with cancer and their loved ones. The Crested Butte Summit Hike is our primary fundraising event to benefit men, women and children living with cancer in the Gunnison Valley. Money raised from the hike helps recipients pay medical bills and alleviate the stress of daily living expenses during their cancer treatments. Crested Butte Mountain is situated in the heart of the West Elk mountains in southwestern Colorado. The summit of Crested Butte Mountain is 12,162 feet. Participants may hike the entire 11.5 miles round trip or modify the hike by riding the chair lift and hiking the 2 mile round trip alpine trail to the peak. Everyone is encouraged to take their time, have fun and honor those whose lives have been touched by cancer. Registration fee is $50.00 and each hiker is encouraged to raise additional funds through pledges. Experience the Evolution of Mountain Biking and celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Crested Butte’s Fat Tire Bike Week. Legend has it that Crested Butte is the birthplace of mountain biking. Well, the baby is all grown up, and we’re celebrating FTBW's big Three - O this coming June. This year’s "Dirty # 30" will feature the Fat Tire 40 endurance race, Aided Rides, Mountain States Cup Wildflower Rush DH races, pure Crested Butte classics like the Chainless Race & the 24 Hour Bridges of the Butte, as well as some premiere entertainment. |

25+ events conducted annually in 20+ states. The tournament sites are divided into 2 regions. Each region usually conducts 2 fall and 10 spring qualifying tournaments and a regional championship where teams may earn the right to compete in the "Super Bowl of Crappie Fishing", The Cabela's Crappie USA Classic held in September or October each year. We average 8,100 anglers annually. |
